Youth Protection Training Courses

The Boy Scouts of America designates April as Youth Protection Month for councils, units, families, and community organizations. It’s a great time to remind those around you about the importance of taking this critical training and keeping it up to date. Here are a few things you can do to help highlight Youth Protection this month in your unit.

1. Ensure your training is current and encourage others to do so. During April, the Lincoln Heritage Council will offer two free youth protection training courses. See below for more information.
2. Link your BSA member profile to your My.Scouting.org training profile. Learn more.
3. Learn about the Youth Protection Champion program and recruit a volunteer to fill this role. Learn more.
4. Don’t be a bystander; learn how to stand up to bullying. Learn more.
5. Educate yourself and your Scouts about internet safety through the BSA’s Cyber Chip program.
