Key Points of Contact Roles
The district executive is the local Scouting professional that is responsible for the overall support for the area. If there is a need and/or concern or simply have a question or need additional information or support, you cannot go wrong by contacting your district executive.
The district chairman is the lead volunteer for the district. This role leads a committee comprised of volunteers that are here to support the overall functioning and support of the programs in the area through various committee such as program, advancement, membership, and finance.
The district commissioner is responsible for the commissioner staff serving the area. The commissioner’s staff is responsible for all “hands-on” support for the programs and volunteers. The volunteers are also responsible and assist with the annual rechartering process for the programs in the district.
The direct manager (field director, district director, or director of field services) for the district is the next level of support beyond the district executive. This is the direct supervisor for the district executive and is equally a great contact.
