Established in 1931, the Silver Beaver Award is the highest honor a council can bestow upon a volunteer, recognizing exceptional service to youth and the Scouting community at the council level. Each year, a select group of registered Scouters is chosen for their outstanding contributions, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the mission of Scouting.

Step back in time and embark on an unforgettable journey along the Oregon Trail! Inspired by the Troop Level Klondike event, this action-packed adventure challenges Cub Scouts to test their skills, teamwork, and determination as they navigate a series of thrilling, hands-on activities.

Packs from across the district will come together for an exciting round-robin style competition, where teams of Scouts will earn points by tackling a wide variety of challenges. From team-building games and STEM activities to target and range sports, survival skills, first aid, knots and lashings, outdoor cooking, and so much more, there’s something for every young explorer!

This is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to build friendships, strengthen scouting skills, and experience the spirit of adventure firsthand. Whether you’re aiming for the top score or just ready to have a blast, you won’t want to miss this incredible journey!

Summer 2025 | Dream, build, and explore! 

Welcome to Invention Convention! Get ready for the 2025 Cub Scout Day Camp—where adventure meets imagination! This year’s camp is all about innovation and discovery, blending classic Cub Scout fun with exciting STEM activities that spark creativity and problem-solving.

Cub Scouts will launch rockets, build amazing contraptions, and dive into hands-on science experiments—all while still enjoying the camp favorites they know and love, like range and target sports, nature exploration, crafts, games, songs, and more! Whether they’re testing their engineering skills, experimenting with cool science projects, or exploring the great outdoors, every day is packed with fun and learning.
