SUMMARY:Council Recognition Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The council recognition dinner is to celebrate our council volunteers. The Silver Beaver Award recognizes adult volunteers for exceptional service to Scouting at the council level. The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council‐level distinguished service award of the Scouting America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. A limited number of Silver Beaver awards are awarded each year. The Silver Beaver is the highest award a council can bestow upon a volunteer for outstanding service to the council and the youth that it serves. This outstanding group of Scouters have given their time\, talent\, and treasure to the council and have not gone unnoticed. The awards will be presented at the annual council recognition dinner.

SUMMARY:Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the ILST course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities. ILST is the first course in the series of leadership training offered to Scouts and is a replacement for Troop Leadership Training. Completion of ILST is a prerequisite for Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE).
