AquaBase - Aquatic High Adventure Base

Imagine spending your Summer Camp experience on one of the largest man-made lakes
in the world? Then still, imagine spending that week on board a beautiful Catalina or Hunter

vital information on this amazing program unlike any in our area.

Choose from one of the many program options we have available:

Water Sports-  This program will allow Scouts (ages 16 and above) to participate in a number of exciting activities including motor boating, water skiing, wakeboarding and personal watercrafts. Each Scout will complete the Kentucky boater’s safety program and learn about the safe operation of boats and PWCs. A special program will be offered to teach Scouts about jet skiing and the proper techniques to operate one. Each will also have the opportunity to learn to ski and wakeboard. Course cost will be $300, with a discounted rate of $275 if paid by March 4th.

High Adventure Sailing-  A program like no other in the country; Scouts (ages 14 and above) will spend the week on a 25 foot sailboat cruising up and down Kentucky Lake while serving as the crew of their very own boat. Each participant will have the opportunity to serve as the skipper of the boat leading their team through the water. Each night will be spent docked in a different bay. Scouts will go ashore each evening to prepare their meals and evaluate the days sailing experience. Scouts will learn navigation skills and develop teamwork skills while gaining self-esteem and self-confidence. They will visit multiple marinas around the lake learning about different types of sailboats and enjoying recreational activities. Course cost will be $350, with a discounted rate of $325 if paid by March 4th.

Lifesaving and BSA life guard-  Scouts can work toward earning their BSA Lifeguard certification while earning the lifesaving merit badge. Course cost will be $285, with a discounted rate of $260 if paid by March 4th.
