College For A Day

Come and experience College for a Day on the University of Louisville Campus Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Start your day on campus in the auditorium of Strickler Hall. Check in begins at 8:00 am with the Welcome Ceremony beginning at 8:30 am.

You don’t need to be a Scout to enroll! College For A Day is open to all youth currently in middle or high school and under 18 years of age. Youth must have parent and/or guardian permission to participate.

Join us and you will be able to:

  • Tour campus
  • Explore career paths
  • Experience a financial aid workshop (Parents)
  • Have lunch in the Red Barn
  • Earn Merit Badges (Scouts)
  • Schedule and Courses Offered

University of Louisville Professors will collaborate with Scouting volunteers to teach classes centered around Boy Scout Merit Badges. Youth will register for their top four courses but will only be enrolled in one to two courses. Some courses may have prerequisites. In that instance, a list of prerequisites and topics covered will be sent to youth prior to College For A Day.

Archaeology, Architecture, Astronomy, Chemistry, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, CPR Training, Crime Prevention, Dentisty, Digital Technology, Electronics, Emergency Preparedness, Engineering, Environmental Science, First Aid, Graphic Arts, Law, Medicine, Personal Management, Robotics, Space Exploration and Sustainability.
